What is ayida weddo?

Ayida Wedo is a goddess in Haitian Vodou religion, who is often associated with fertility, snakes, and rainbows. She is considered a divine partner or wife of the god, Damballa, and is sometimes referred to as "Mother of Waters". Ayida Wedo is often depicted as a rainbow serpent or a rainbow-colored woman holding a serpent. She is believed to have the power to create rain and to purify the waters. In Vodou ceremonies, Ayida Wedo is often invoked for blessings of fertility, healing, and protection. Her worship is an important part of Haitian Vodou rituals and is also observed in other Afro-Caribbean nations like Cuba and Trinidad.
